Today Senator Kerry called on American voters to vote based on international opinion — to elect him as a gesture of reconciliation. He said we were now a bully — this necessarily implies that all of us who have served at some point in the Global War on Terror are bullies. Look at the Navy’s and Marine Corps’ unofficial mottos in the post below. Not acceptable to Senator Kerry and the EU-rocrats — or to terrorist impresarios, as UBL made perfectly clear. Democrats need to save their party from this fringe driving the party bus off the cliff. We need two viable parties both committed to American life and liberty. I hope Reagan and 9/11 Democrats will help reelect George Bush to defend the nation and spark party reform.

Fox News reports that Indian recon aircraft saw a convoy of SUVs and believe they saw bin Laden when the convoy had a rest haul. My point in blogging on this thin gruel is the silly reaction of the Fox News reader — blathering ignorantly about Predators and Hellfire missiles. One word folks: RANGE. Predators lack range and dwell time to hang around the most rugged and remote parts of the world. The Global Hawk is too expensive and also too limited in dwell time.

Maybe it is time for the smart folks in the military to talk with Scaled Composites to take their extreme duration (9 days) aircraft out of the hanger, retrofit with remote/computer control and hang two small missiles or GPS guided bombs on board. Build a small fleet on Scaled Composites very frugal budget and you get real coverage of very remote and rugged trouble spots. Just a thought.

Closing out research for recent post when A Leach! appeared (popped under) on my computer desktop drumming up business — ambulance chasing after a wide variety of cases all allegedly producing the latest trial lawyer snake oil — some long and impressive sounding cancer name. Advertising many millions of dollars in claims. Same pitch I’ve caught a couple times recently on the radio.

We. Need. Tort. Reform.

Froggy shouldn’t hog the crow — lots of folks owed a bite. But, UBL is the RDX of the terrorist set. A threat only in a very large and complex context. And this president and our military is focused relentlessly on “draining the swamp” — creating a favorable world order. Not a new world order (Bush I) but a realization of ancient dreams: it is self evident that:

all men (and women) are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

President Bush has been rock-solid consistent on this and Senator Kerry has been rock-solid(!) consistent that he is focused on the man, not the conditions under which the man is a threat. Tactics versus strategy.
